Palace collaborator and heritage footwear brand Kickers has unveiled its latest lookbook. Titled “It Starts In,” the campaign showcases some of the shoemaker’s latest styles. Check it out above.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, Kickers was established by French designer Daniel Raufast in 1970 and went on to become a cultural staple in the UK rock, rave, and Britpop scenes, gaining its greatest prominence with the rise of the Manchester scene in the mid ’80s and into the ’90s.

The brand was worn by the likes of Ian Brown of The Stone Roses, Noel Gallagher of Oasis, and Jarvis Cocker of Pulp, making Kickers a sought-after brand among British youth. The label’s black leather shoes became a must-have for style-conscious teens in UK high schools.

For its latest collection, Kickers photographed an existing group of friends in a small seaside town during a carefree summer. “I interpreted the campaign’s tagline as a nod to those journeys we’ve all taken,” says campaign director Jacob John Harmer. “My aim was to capture those fleeting times, the intimacy created throughout endless summers.”
